Raised on a ranch beneath the Snowy Mountains of Montana, Brittany brings her Big Sky heart to the stage in New York City. Story and music are the medium. From teaching guitar to children, to rocking with The Snowy Mountain Sisters, to filming shorts with her husband, Matthew, each day is an opportunity to share a human story.
While Brittany spent much of her childhood pitching hay to cows after a day of school and a rigorous basketball practice, she was also performing since the age of four with her family. At the age of nine, she began acting on stage and writing her own music. Playing a musical instrument was always a staple for being part of the Brook family. Britt first started on piano in third grade and dove into the guitar upon her discovery of Joni Mitchell's "Blue" album at age thirteen.
Today, she and her sister make their living as actor-musicians in NYC. It's not everyday a person can play music with their best friend and sister. She considers herself extremely lucky.
You live in the world you create. And right now, Britt's world is family, songwriting, performing, mentoring, teaching, and creating with every turn of the sun.
